Sightseeing tour through Innsbruck

Sightseeing TourA warm sunny day – the perfect conditions for our sightseeing tour through Innsbruck. Starting off at the school, we walked to the Zeughaus which was built by Emperor Maximilian I. over 500 years ago. We continued passing by the Bögen, the 168 railway arches, and made our way to the old town. There, our first stop was the Strudelcafé Kröll, where we learned about all the different types of this Austrian speciality. Our next stop was the Golden Roof with its 2.657 copper-gilded tiles. After that we walked along the Maria-Theresien-Straße to get some ice cream and some new energy for the last few stops. All in all, it was a highly instructive and entertaining excursion. – Stefanie Gutschlhofer and Nora Spiegel and 2EHW
