Great “craic” in Ireland

exploring irelandExploring Ireland in March. We flew from Munich to Dublin and then we had a coach transfer to Bray. In front of the language school our host families welcomed us and then showed us our homes for the week. In the afternoon a few of us met at the beach to explore the city. On Sunday the whole class went to Kilkenny. There we visited Kilkenny Castle and afterwards we had some free time in this medieval city. At 2 pm we continued our trip to the Dunmore Caves where historical events had turned into myths.

During the week from 9 am to 1 pm we had classes. Afterwards we went to Dublin – except for Tuesday. On this day we did the cliff walk from Bray to Greystones. It lasted two hours and we took a lot of photos. For Wednesday afternoon we had booked a Viking Splash tour, which meant having a ride around Dublin in an amphibious vehicle and screaming a lot. This car could also drive into the river. We had a lot of spare time where we had the chance to explore the city in smaller groups by ourselves. All in all, we had a lot of ‘craic’. – Caroline Hornegger, 4DHW
